Quick answers
- How much does Wati cost in India in 2026?
- On 27 September 2026 Wati's public pricing page showed Growth, Pro and Business plans, displayed in USD to our non-India session, plus a one-time ₹999 single-user plan. Indian visitors may see INR prices, so check wati.io/pricing from India on the day you buy.
- How much does Wati charge per message?
- Wati's pricing page says message charges are "based on WATI rate card" and vary by marketing, utility and authentication. It does not replace Meta's own rate. Compare Wati's figure with Meta's India rates, for example ₹0.8631 per marketing message ex-tax on the card effective 1 October 2026.

- The pricing page advertised a 7-day free trial with zero setup fees when we checked on 27 September 2026.
Short answer
Last checked on wati.io/pricing: 27 September 2026 (IST). Prices change often. Always confirm on Wati's live page before you buy.
Short answer: Wati charges a monthly or annual subscription for its platform, and message charges are extra, billed on Wati's own rate card. When we checked on 27 September 2026, Wati's public page listed three main plans (Growth, Pro and Business) plus a one-time single-user plan at ₹999. To estimate a real bill, add the plan fee, any extra user seats, and your monthly message volume at the per-message rate Wati shows you, then compare that with Meta's own rate card.
This guide explains each part of the bill so you can compare Wati fairly with other WhatsApp Business API platforms in India, including WatsBerry.
What Wati's pricing page shows (checked 27 Sep 2026)
When we loaded wati.io/pricing on 27 September 2026, the paid subscription plans were displayed in US dollars to our session, which was not from an Indian IP address. Indian visitors may see INR prices, so treat the USD figures below as a snapshot of what the public page displayed, not as an Indian price list.
| Plan (as displayed) | Billed annually | Billed monthly | Users included | Extra users |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | USD 59/month | USD 69/month | 3 | Not available on this plan |
| Pro | USD 119/month | USD 149/month | 5 | USD 39 per user per month |
| Business | USD 279/month | USD 349/month | 5 | USD 89 per user per month |
| Single-user plan | ₹999 one-time | Not applicable | 1 | Not applicable |
Other details listed on the same page:
- Messages are charged separately. Each plan says "Additional charges apply for messages" and that per-message charges vary for marketing, utility and authentication, "charged based on WATI rate card".
- The single-user plan asks you to pay ₹999 and gives ₹999 back as message credits, described as enough for up to 500 messages, with 3 months of account validity.
- Growth lists 15k broadcasts per month, 1,000 free automation triggers per month, 2 commerce or CRM integrations and no webhooks.
- Pro lists 2,000 automation triggers, 5 integrations including HubSpot, and limited webhooks.
- Business lists 5,000 automation triggers, unlimited integrations including Salesforce, and volume discounts on messages.
- A 7-day free trial with zero setup fees is advertised.

The three parts of any WhatsApp API bill
Every WhatsApp Business API platform in India bills you in some mix of three lines. Wati is no different.
1. Platform subscription
This pays for the software: inbox, broadcasts, chatbots, integrations. It is usually per month, with discounts for annual payment.
2. User seats
Team plans include a fixed number of logins. On the plans shown above, Growth did not allow extra users, while Pro and Business allowed extra seats at a monthly price per user. If you have a sales or support team of 6 to 10 people, seats can become a large share of the bill.
3. Message charges
Meta charges per delivered template message by category (marketing, utility, authentication) and, from 1 October 2026, for service messages beyond a free monthly allowance. Some platforms pass Meta's rate through at cost. Others bill messages on their own rate card, which can include a margin. Wati's page says messages are "charged based on WATI rate card", so compare its rate with Meta's published rate for India.
For reference, Meta's INR rate card effective 1 October 2026 lists these India rates per delivered message, excluding taxes:
| Category | Meta rate (India, ex-tax) |
|---|---|
| Marketing | ₹0.8631 |
| Utility | ₹0.1150 |
| Authentication | ₹0.1150 |
| Service (after 1,000 free per number per month) | ₹0.1150 |

How to estimate your real monthly Wati bill
Use this simple worksheet. Fill in the numbers Wati shows you on the day you check.
- Plan fee: monthly price of the plan you need (or the annual price divided by 12).
- Seats: number of extra users above the included count, multiplied by the per-user price.
- Marketing messages: monthly marketing sends multiplied by Wati's marketing rate for India.
- Utility and authentication messages: monthly volume multiplied by Wati's rate.
- Service messages: from 1 October 2026, replies beyond Meta's 1,000 free per phone number per month are charged. Ask Wati how it bills these.
- Taxes: add GST as it applies to each line.
Then run the same worksheet for every platform on your shortlist. The cheapest plan fee is not always the cheapest bill. A business sending 20,000 marketing messages a month will feel a small per-message difference more than a small plan difference.
A worked example you can copy
Say a D2C brand sends 10,000 marketing messages and 5,000 utility messages (order updates) a month.
- At Meta's own India rates, the message cost alone is 10,000 × ₹0.8631 = ₹8,631 plus 5,000 × ₹0.1150 = ₹575, so ₹9,206 before tax.
- If a platform bills messages above Meta's rate, the difference per message multiplied by your volume is what you pay on top. Check the platform's rate card and do the maths.
This is why comparing "per message" pricing matters as much as the plan price.
Where Wati tends to fit
Wati is widely known in India as a team inbox and customer engagement platform on the official API. Its pricing page shows strengths for teams that want CRM integrations such as HubSpot and Salesforce on higher plans, and a large feature set around chatbots and campaigns.
Wati may be a good fit if you:
- need integrations listed on the Pro or Business plans
- are comfortable with messages billed on the platform's rate card
- want a 5-seat team plan and can live with the per-user add-on price
It may cost more than you expect if you:
- send a high volume of marketing messages and the platform rate is above Meta's
- need more than 3 users but only want Growth-level features
- need webhooks but are on a plan that lists none
How WatsBerry compares (disclosure: this is our product)
WatsBerry is a WhatsApp marketing and automation platform built for India by Furiq Technologies. We keep the three bill lines separate so you can see each one:
- 0% markup on WhatsApp marketing. Meta's charges are shown separately from your plan. You pay Meta's rate, not a WatsBerry rate card.
- Plans: Starter ₹1,599, Pro ₹2,999, Growth ₹5,999 per month, plus GST. Meta charges are separate.
- Users: Starter includes 1 user, Pro 2 users, Growth 5 users.
- Email built in on Pro and Growth at 5 paise per email, so you do not need a separate email tool.
- 14-day free trial to test it on your own number.

Questions to ask Wati (or any provider) before you pay
- What is your per-message rate for marketing, utility and authentication in India today, and how does it compare with Meta's rate card?
- How do you bill service messages after 1 October 2026?
- How many users are included, and what does each extra user cost?
- Are webhooks and the integrations I need included on this plan?
- Is GST included in the prices shown?
- What happens to unused message credits?
If a provider cannot answer these in writing, treat that as a signal.
