What a Shopify + WhatsApp workspace actually includes

Searching Shopify WhatsApp integration usually means one store and one official number — not a grey “WhatsApp blaster” glued to Shopify emails.

How the Shopify connect works (and what it is not)

1. Connect Shopify from Integrations. Preferred path: the store’s Dev Dashboard app (Client ID + Secret + OAuth). App URL is watsberry.com; Allowed redirection URL is https://www.watsberry.com/integrations. Approve Install on Shopify.

2. Scopes. read_orders, read_products, read_customers, read_checkouts, read_fulfillments. WatsBerry is a standalone (not embedded) app — billing stays on watsberry.com.

3. Webhooks WatsBerry registers. Checkouts create/update (carts); orders create / paid / fulfilled / partially_fulfilled / cancelled; fulfillments; refunds. Confirm Webhooks: Active before you enable recovery or alerts.

4. One store platform per organisation. Shopify or WooCommerce, not both. Woo gets orders and alerts — not abandoned-cart recovery in this release.

5. Dual billing still applies. Meta invoices conversation/template usage; WatsBerry invoices the plan and wallet. See billing with Meta.

Abandoned-cart recovery is on Pro and Growth. Simple auto-recovery defaults to about 60 minutes and a 24-hour window; sequences use a cart-abandoned campaign flow. Do not run both on the same checkout.

Catalogue, payments, and COD — keep the three desks straight

Shopify checkout is the website cart. Recovery messages send a Shopify checkout URL, not a WhatsApp Catalogue invoice. Prepaid vs COD copy should match what the store actually offers.

WhatsApp Catalogue is Meta’s in-chat product set. Edit inventory in Commerce Manager, then sync. You can run catalogue and Shopify; they are not the same PIM.

Payments in chat (India WhatsApp Payments / Razorpay Payment Links) belong to catalogue orders and forms — see payment gateways and Razorpay payment links. Do not sell UPI / Razorpay WhatsApp Pay as a benefit for a UAE Shopify storefront; those rails are India-oriented.

Is this the same as the abandoned-cart playbook?

Does Shopify sync products into WhatsApp Catalogue?

Not as a second PIM. WatsBerry pulls WhatsApp Catalogue items from Meta Commerce Manager. Shopify products sync for carts, order alerts, and flows (including Price Please on social). Treat them as two catalogues unless you keep Commerce Manager in sync yourself.

Does WatsBerry recover WooCommerce abandoned carts?

Not in the current release. WooCommerce syncs orders, customers, and products for Order Alerts. Abandoned-cart recovery is Shopify-only. One store platform per organisation.
